About TMA054:
The Quartet is a young and exciting group, comprising four talented musicians trained at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. They have been playing together for several years, and in that time have gained extensive experience in providing music for a wide variety of events, including:
- Weddings services and civil ceremonies
- Graduation ceremonies
- Birthday parties
- Corporate entertainment
- Full-length concert recitals
They have a wide and varied repertoire, and are more than willing to cater to special requests whenever possible. They can also provide expert suggestions if you need any advice on choosing music for special occasions.
The quartet has received tuition from a number of distinguished professionals, including Alasdair Tait, Jo Cole, Pavel Fischer, members of the Endellion and Navarra Quartets, Marc Danel, Malcolm Layfield, Emma Ferrand, Simon Rowland Jones, Bernard Gregor-Smith, Reiner Schmidt, Ole Bohn, Goetz Richter, Johannes Meissl and Roger Benedict.
In both 2008 and 2009, they were chosen to open the RNCM's Chamber Music Festival. They have performed in many concert venues, including Didsbury's Emanuel Church, Edinburgh's St. Giles Cathedral, and Sydney's Christ Church on Lavender Bay.
The quartet was recently selected to represent the RNCM in Sydney, Australia as part of the first chamber ensemble exchange between the RNCM and Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Whilst in Australia the quartet gave regular performances as well as receiving personal and ensemble tuition.
